At Showstopper, every performance is met with professionalism, respect, and a love for the stage.
All dancers are adjudicated by a qualified and experienced panel of judges. Participants acknowledge that adjudication is conducted at the sole discretion of the judges, and all decisions are final.
Performances are marked on merit, and all dancers receive:

SPOTLIGHT AWARDS
Spotlight Awards are presented to dancers whose performances possess an unmistakable presence — that rare quality that captivates the audience and holds the room.
Spotlight Awards are not score-based and may be awarded at the judges’ discretion to performers who truly own the moment.
Blue Diamond Awards
The top three highest-scoring performances in each dance style — regardless of age category — will be crowned Blue Diamond Champions, receiving trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place.
Where a Group, Team, or Super Team places within the Top 3:
- One championship trophy will be awarded to the studio
- Each dancer will receive an individual medal
These awards honour performances that truly rise above and command attention.
Ultimate ShowStopper Award
The 1st Place Blue Diamond Champions return to the stage for one final, high-stakes showdown in the Ultimate Showstopper Division.
From this elite group, three standout performances will be crowned The Ultimate Showstoppers:
🥇 1st Place — R5 000 Cash Prize
🥈 2nd Place — R3 000 Cash Prize
🥉 3rd Place — R2 000 Cash Prize

Spirit Award
This is your moment to make some noise!
Each studio will have 45 seconds on stage to bring the energy — wave your banners, fly your flags, dance it out, cheer it loud, or hype the crowd in your own signature style.
This award isn’t about technique.
It’s about unity, pride, and presence.
The studio that brings the biggest spirit, ignites the loudest audience response, and fills the venue with undeniable Showstopper energy will take home the Spirit Award.
No rules. No scores.
Just heart, hype, and pure showmanship.

Your style tells the story — honour it on stage.
- Routines must be presented in the style in which they are entered; performances delivered in a different style will be placed accordingly by the adjudicators.
- All routines and costumes must be age appropriate.
